Patrick J. Wack

Patrick J. Wack brings more than five decades of legal experience to Maguire Schneckenburger Legal Group, along with long standing client relationships built on trust, integrity, and results. Patrick focuses his practice on business and corporate representation, tax law, and complex financial matters, including representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service and the United States Tax Court.

Throughout his career, Patrick has served as a trusted legal advisor to businesses across Northeast Ohio, assisting owners and executives with both strategic planning and the day to day legal issues that arise in operating a business. His practice includes corporate counseling, tax planning and compliance, business transactions, zoning matters, and real estate issues. Patrick’s depth of experience allows him to provide practical guidance grounded in a thorough understanding of both legal and financial considerations, helping clients navigate challenges efficiently and proactively.

Patrick has extensive experience handling tax matters at the federal level and regularly represents clients in disputes involving the IRS and the United States Tax Court. His background includes prior employment with the Internal Revenue Service, giving him valuable insight into tax enforcement, compliance, and dispute resolution from an internal perspective. Clients benefit from Patrick’s ability to anticipate issues, manage risk, and develop effective strategies when dealing with complex tax concerns.

In addition to his legal practice, Patrick has been deeply engaged in civic leadership and community service throughout Tallmadge and the greater Akron area. He has served on the boards of numerous nonprofit and civic organizations, including the Greater Akron Homebuilders Association, the Tallmadge Athletic Booster Club, Tallmadge Rotary, and the Tallmadge Foundation. Patrick also served as Chairman of the Tallmadge Planning and Zoning Commission and Chairman of the Tallmadge Charter Commission, contributing to the long term planning and governance of the community.

Patrick’s dedication to public service has been widely recognized. He was honored as the Tallmadge Ohio Citizen of the Year in 2004 and later received the City of Tallmadge Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013, reflecting his enduring commitment to both the legal profession and the community he has served for decades.

Patrick was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1973. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Akron in 1966 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law in 1973. His education and professional background provide a strong foundation for his work at the intersection of business, tax, and corporate law.
