Samantha focuses her practice on domestic relations, estate planning, probate administration, and civil litigation. She also serves as a Guardian ad Litem (“GAL”) in the Portage County Domestic Relations Court.

• In a dissolution, Samantha helps parties draft a reasonable settlement agreement.
• In a divorce, Samantha makes sure her client is heard and works efficiently until the divorce is final.
• In cases where Samantha serves as GAL, she advocates for the best interests of any child involved.

Samantha certainly has a voice for her clients, but she also supports mediation. Mediation is a process where parties attempt to reach their own agreement with the help of a neutral third party. Samantha was certified by the Ohio Supreme Court in 2020 for general mediation practice. Those skills inherently help her clients and their families through difficult situations and navigating emotionally charged environments.

Samantha has a passion for “death planning.” She helps individuals discuss their wishes as it relates to a last will and testament, durable power of attorney, healthcare power of attorney, living will, transfer on death affidavit, or a revocable trust. When a loved one passes away, Samantha makes sure the surviving family members know what they are doing in probate court. Respecting the wishes of the decedent and following the law are her top priorities.

Samantha also involves herself in civil litigation. She received the “Honor of Barristers” in 2023 for her oral advocacy in the courtroom. She is precise, which makes her a formidable advocate.

Background

Samantha graduated from Cleveland State University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a bachelor’s degree in criminology. She attended the University of Toledo College of Law and graduated with her Juris Doctor in 2022. During law school, Samantha was a member of the Moot Court team and participated in a national competition. She also worked at the Toledo Bar Association and the Sixth District Court of Appeals.

Outside of work, Samantha owns a crystal business and likes spending time with her parents and grandparents. She enjoys walking outside with her dog and hula hooping. She has hula hooped recreationally for 11 years.
