Robert Maguire

Robert Maguire is a highly respected attorney with deep roots in Tallmadge, Ohio, where he has lived and practiced law for more than five decades. Throughout his career, Robert has dedicated the majority of his professional life to serving the legal needs of local individuals, families, and businesses across Tallmadge, Akron, and the surrounding Northeast Ohio communities.

Robert began his legal career in 1975 as a solo practitioner. Over the decades, his commitment to clients, ethical practice, and community service helped shape the firm into what is now Maguire Schneckenburger Legal Group. Under his leadership and guidance, the firm has grown to include multiple attorneys supported by a skilled team of paralegals, law clerks, and legal assistants. Many long standing client relationships built on trust and results continue across generations.

Known by pears as a “lawyer’s lawyer,” Robert Maguire is frequently chosen by fellow attorneys to represent them in their own legal matters. His practice focuses on estate planning, probate administration, trust and estate matters, and real estate law. Robert is also licensed to practice law in Florida, where he assists clients with estate planning, probate, and real estate matters, particularly those with interests in both Ohio and Florida.

In addition to his legal practice, Robert is deeply committed to legal education. He serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Akron School of Law, where he has taught hundreds of law students the fundamentals of drafting wills and trusts. Robert is passionate about mentoring the next generation of attorneys and was named Adjunct Professor of the Year in recognition of his teaching excellence and dedication to students.

Robert’s commitment to Tallmadge extends far beyond his law practice. He has devoted decades to civic leadership and volunteer service, supporting local institutions, charities, and public organizations. He has served in numerous leadership roles throughout the community and continues to provide pro bono legal services to individuals in need.

When he is not practicing law or serving the community, Robert enjoys cruising in his red Jeepster convertible, feeding and watching birds, assembling jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with his wife Deb and their family.
