Robert Maguire

Attorney Robert Maguire has been a resident of Tallmadge, Ohio for over five decades. A majority of his time in Tallmadge has been spent serving the legal needs of local individuals, families, and businesses. Robert began his practice in 1975 as a solo attorney. Over the course of several decades, his relationship with clients and his service to the community have helped the firm to flourish and grow to include six attorneys, a staff of paralegals, law clerks, and legal assistants.

Having established solid roots in Tallmadge, Robert is committed to serving the community beyond his legal work. Over the years, he has been involved with several local charities and other organizations. Robert has served as president of City Council, as trustee of the Tallmadge Library Association, and as trustee of the Tallmadge Historical Society. He provides pro bono legal services to those in need.

Robert has been described as a “lawyer’s lawyer,” and he is proud that many of his colleagues have chosen him to represent them in their own legal matters. In addition to his law practice, he is an adjunct professor at the University of Akron School of Law. He has taught hundreds of law students how to write wills and trusts. Robert enjoys sharing his knowledge with his students and was named Adjunct Professor of the Year in recognition of his abilities.

Robert is also licensed to practice in Florida, where his focus is on estate planning, probate, and real estate matters.

When not working or being active in the community, Robert enjoys cruising in his red Jeepster convertible, feeding and watching birds, assembling jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with his wife Deb and their family.
